This project began with my fascination for the “Polka Dot” art movement– a style that feels joyful, colorful, and playful, yet, upon deeper observation, reveals a dizzying sense of infinity. I chose to focus on three remarkable artists: Yayoi Kusama, John Baldessari, and Damien Hirst.

Through in-depth research, I discovered that each draws the viewer into a world where vibrant aesthetics mask profound emotional themes obsession, addiction, and loneliness. The repeated dot motif in their works intensifies these psychological explorations, creating a striking contrast between the cheerful first impression and the deeper emotional undercurrents.
